Janet, owner/teacher

My style of teaching is flow. You can expect a natural breath rate pace with postures that vary in intensity. We will take time moving in, through, and out of poses, creating a meditative state to tune into the self and out of everyday life. My aim is guide you in a head to toe practice cultivating an inner stillness.

In 2014, I completed a 200hr YTT course with West-East Yoga. It was an introduction into a new world. What was initially just fun poses and breath movements evolved into a life practice. Later, in 2016 through Circle Yoga Shala, an additional 300hr advanced yoga teacher training course furthered my practice and approach to teaching. The program included strong emphasis on the Yoga Therapy Method. This continues to be the practiced path that influences my teaching style. Most recently as of 2022, I began to practice and work with Reiki; am currently attuned and practicing Reiki II.

Nancy, teacher

My current yoga offerings are flow and restorative. While sometimes these practices overlap, there is a distinct difference. Through flow breath and movement are linked and my style leans into a tranquil style of strength building. In Restorative, prepare to be pampered, I offer a wide range of supportive techniques to help you relax and restore!

Nancy began her yoga journey in 2013 with a beginner series. As a transplant nurse she had a mentally demanding career and a need to perform at full capacity. A quiet slow practice at the time was interpreted as drudging and painful, yet somehow delightfully rewarding to the soul. It was there, in the serene space of a studio that a seed was planted. She learned that the practice of controlling the breath in coordination with movements brought freedom from the stressors of everyday life. Here in one hour increments, she discovered a love of the practice and a desire to share it with others. In 2015, Nancy completed a 200 hour teaching program at the Healing Arts Center. Recently retired from her nursing career, the need to help and support others persists. With more time available Nancy continues to enjoy the study, practice and sharing of yoga with those on the journey of wellness.
